PartnerRe announced today the appointment of Andrew Stapleton as Head of Marine & Energy Offshore. Based in Zurich, and reporting to Charles Goldie, Deputy CEO Global, Non-Life and Head of Specialty Lines, Global. Mr. Stapleton will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Company’s marine and offshore energy treaty business worldwide.
Mr. Stapleton joins PartnerRe from Alston Gayler in London and is well known in the specialty markets, with more than twenty years of industry experience. Before joining Alston Gayler, Andrew was Chief Underwriting Officer at Omega Specialty in Bermuda, responsible for the Marine, Non-Marine and Aerospace treaty books, and Senior Vice President with PxRe in Bermuda, responsible for the Marine, Aerospace and Cat Retro portfolios.
