New 2013 Storm Data, an Updated 2012 Storm Set and Video Tutorials Now Available with PartnerRe’s Award-winning iPad® App – PartnerResearch

PartnerRe released an updated version of PartnerResearch, the free iPad® application recently honored with a 2014 Innovation Award by Business Insurance.

The updated version of the App now includes new 2013 storm data, and an updated North Atlantic hurricane storm set – 175 new hazard footprints – making it possible to view over 1200 historical windstorms across the North Atlantic Basin and Europe.

To guide users through its many useful features, video tutorials have been embedded directly into the App. Narrated by Brian Secrett, Head of Catastrophe at PartnerRe, these videos offer tips and tricks for finding storms, searching specific locations, exploring hazard categories and timelines as well as saving and sending personalized storm views.

In addition, the App is now fully compatible with iOS 7, offering optimal viewing of storm intensity and timeline.

Originally launched in September 2013, the PartnerResearch App was developed to offer business partners and risk managers free and direct access to a layer of the proprietary modeling systems compiled by PartnerRe’s dedicated Research team.

“Since we first launched the App last year, nearly 5000 storm views have been downloaded by users,” said Brian Secrett, Head of Catastrophe at PartnerRe. “We are delighted to see such an appetite for our unique and easy-to-use risk identification tool. We hope that users find further value with the additional storm data now available in the updated App and look forward to their feedback. The continued development of PartnerResearch reflects our longstanding mission to provide innovative service to our clients as part of our reinsurance offering.”
