PEMBROKE, Bermuda, December 5, 2016 – PartnerRe Ltd. announced today that Marc Archambault is joining the Company effective April 1, 2017, to head up PartnerRe’s Life & Health business.
As CEO of Life & Health and a member of PartnerRe’s executive management team, Mr. Archambault will lead PartnerRe’s Life & Health business unit with responsibility for growing PartnerRe’s business in those segments and expanding the Company’s franchise in all markets.
Mr. Archambault brings a wealth of expertise with more than 25 years’ experience in Life reinsurance at SCOR, most recently as CEO of SCOR Global Life Asia-Pacific, where he led the company’s regional growth strategy in those markets, and as a member of the senior management team for Global Life. Prior to that, Mr. Archambault held a number of senior management positions at SCOR where he implemented growth strategies and product development initiatives across multiple international markets in Europe, North America, Asia and Africa.

Mr. Archambault holds a Bachelor of Actuarial Science from Laval University in Quebec, Canada, and is an Associate with the Canadian Institute of Actuaries. He will be based in PartnerRe’s Zurich office reporting to Mr. Clarke and replaces Marvin Pestcoe. Mr. Pestcoe will continue as a member of PartnerRe’s executive management group as Chief Risk & Actuarial Officer responsible for PartnerRe’s risk, capital modeling and reserving functions.
